Reported over at Kotaku, the game touted as a revival to classic fighting franchise, King of Fighters XII, has been marked down to ¥980 yen or $11 in US dollars. Even games a year old don't go down that harshly and KOFXII is barely three months out.

Duane and BrandO put your favorite game songs in rap format
Unfortunately, as I point you towards the Adventures of Duane & BrandO, it seems the pair has broken up--not to worry you new adopters! The saga shall continue as "The Adventures Of's".
Some of my favorite songs are hilariously-translated into hip-hop songs. These gems include Sonic the Hedgehog, Megaman 2, and Punch-Out!!, with hilarious lyrics making references to characters and trends. My favs are the segments in Sonic the Hedgehog with Metal Sonic, Knuckles, and Dr. Robotnik (and yes, its fucking Dr. Robotnik. Not Eggman.).
Check them out and support them. I mean, they're releasing LPs for god's sake!

MvC2 craze in it's ending stages?
via kotaku
A strange new site has popped up with everyone's favorite internet staple, the countdown clock.
People, that is, internet people, who are immensely bored and have nothing else to do, have deciphered that the new site, Tu4ar.com, is an acronym for Marvel vs. Capcom 2's player select screen's [annoying] theme song, Take You For a Ride.
After all the other hints, like ESRB ratings, arcade sticks, and achievement reveals, this looks like the final nail in the coffin that our long awaited dreams to pkay MvC2 without having to dredge ebay will finally come to fruition!

Air Guitars and Air Juggles
I never got into Guilty Gear because I thought it's learning curve was too high (scratch that. It's learning wall). But now Blazblue is succeeding it in terms of design and most of all, music.
I'm constantly blasting the Blazblue ost in my iPod. Give it try if you have a bittorrent client (remember kids! I endorse uTorrent!)
Go Google it morons!

Virtual On Coming to 360, Minds Blown
courtesy of Kotaku
If there's one arcade game I consistently play and enjoy, it's Virtual On. It captured the feeling of piloting a giant robot like a Gundam so intensely. Not necessarily accurately, but a close enough feeling. Who knows? Maybe we won't pilot robot via dual control stick inputs but with something like a steering wheel or something?
Screw having a robot, I can't even have the arcade game in my living room without taking up all my space. But now news is out that it's coming to the 360, and I'm already going over those convoluted control methods...
(side to side: jump, both forward: boost...)

Guess what folks?

Street Fighter IV is in my hands now. It was actually in my hands at around noon today, but of course, I just had to crack it open and see how it is.
Full looks later. Now, I've got some homework to do... badly.

Club Nintendo is EXCITEMENT
I have been a member on the Nintendo website since 2004. It says so on Club Nintendo when I migrated my account over to it.
If you don't already know about it, Club Nintendo has been a sweet deal in Japan to get awesome stuff you can't get anywhere else for being a loyal Nintendo consumer. You can get cool swag and even a unique game you can't get in stores!
If you're a member of the old Nintendo website and registered your games, or haven't done so but have saved the registration codes for all your Nintendo merchandise, get over to Club Nintendo and follow the instructions to earn your coins!
I'm already platinum thanks to my shopping impulses. I'm saving my 630 coins for when something cooler shows up on the rewards page (I already have the Game & Watch Collection from an import stand from Anime Expo).

Gamesradar hands out best free games of 2008
Gamesradar, a favorite of mine for random lists and nonsense on video games, has produced a great list of cool small time developed games that you can play for free.
My personal fav that I'm on now is Bonesaw. Look at it's trailer and tell me it doesn't look awesome. It gives an homage to classic Kirby aesthetic designed levels. Always a plus.
